Brent Griffis and Melvin Upchurch Co-Founded LIST Birmingham in 2014. Both had been in the real estate business for years as agents, brokers and investors. It was their opinion that homeowners should have an option other than hiring a broker at a traditional commission or trying For Sale By Owner (FSBO). In their experience most homeowners who wanted to hire a listing agent understood the benefit of paying a competitive commission to the buyers broker but wanted to pay the listing broker less. Brent and Melvin may have been the only brokers in history to agree with this thought, so - LIST Birmingham was born. They wanted to be the 3rd option. A reasonable listing fee while still compensating the buyers broker.
It’s really that simple, so simple it can be confusing - but the truth is LIST Birmingham has great agents, with substantial experience who charge less commission than anyone else in the market. - Great Service, Save Money.
